The Jefferson Street Art Crawl happens every 4th Saturday of the month. The event engages community and highlights art along this historic art corridor as well as the North Nashville Community.
The Jefferson Street Art Crawl is a monthly event that will engage the North Nashville community through a cost-free night of art creation and art appreciation that is completely open and free to the public.
Prior to each art crawl there will be a community crawl meeting in which the neighborhood, residents and business owners will engage in dialogue about how the crawl can commemorate the history of the neighborhood. The community is directly involved in telling the story of the neighborhood and the art crawl is the avenue by which that story is told. Each art crawl will include a live art making portion called The Community Canvas where attendees are invited to do a group mural on a canvas that has been designed to commemorate a different cultural aspect of the Jefferson Street legacy. In addition to art, workshops will occur for the young people and various artists from local institutions will conduct a sketching or painting workshop with young creatives.
