Thursdays 6pm-8pm $150

Advanced Vocal Literature: Peggy Lee with Lori Mechem
Mondays or Wednesdays 6pm-8pm $150
Study and practice songs associated with Peggy Lee, including “Fever,” “He’s A Tramp,” “I Like Being Here With You,” “Where Can I Go Without You,” and “I’m In Love Again.” In this class, you’ll focus on repertoire, stylistic approach, lyric interpretation, phrasing, and soloing, while discovering original material.

Creating Parodies That Zing with Carolyn German

Learn the skills needed to craft alternate lyrics that audiences will love, and that will be a stand-out in your set or show. You will explore important elements of parodies, such as rhythm, intent, form, rhyme scheme and more. Finish out the 3-class session with a chance to perform or share your own freshly-minted parody (with a provided track) and receive feedback.

Advanced Vocal Literature: Chet Baker Vocal Solos with Jeff Hall and Lori Mechem
Tuesdays 6pm-8pm $150

In this class, students will explore and learn his most famous vocal solos such as, “But Not For Me”, “Just Friends”, “It Could Happen to You”, “You Make Me Feel So Young”, “Dancing on the Ceiling” and “This is Always”. Intermediate/Advanced level.
