Juneteenth at The Frist

Presented by Frist Art Museum at Frist Art Museum, Nashville TN

Jun 19 2021
Juneteenth at The Frist

The Frist Art Museum will mark Juneteenth with free art-making activities in the Turner Courtyard and a free on-site viewing of N2020: Community Reflections in the auditorium.

N2020: Community Reflections was guest curated by Woke3, an influential muralist and founder of Norf Art Collective. Conceived as an online exhibition, it has been transformed into a forty-seven-minute video that showcases choreography, dance, music, photography, spoken-word poetry, and video created by Nashville artists reflecting on the year 2020.

Join the celebration in the Turner Courtyard to design your own freedom flag and learn more about destinations in the city to deepen your understanding of Nashville’s Black history.
