Kayak by Moonlight

Just 45 minutes from Nashville, kayak along a gentle current with a full moon and stars lighting the way! Kayaking during the evening into the early night is a memorable experience for water lovers and outdoorsy people.

You don’t have to be a kayak pro for this event. The guide for the evening is Leslie Dunn, an American Canoe Association Certified Kayak Instructor who’s taught kayak lessons and led moonlight paddles for over ten years. Leslie’s happy to give you safety tips to make your evening more enjoyable.

The event begins at 6:30pm with refreshments provided. Free parking, too! As dusk begins, kayakers will head to the kayaks and suit up with life jackets, headlamps, a dry bag for phones, and a light for the kayak – all provided. Wear shoes that can get wet because kayakers will take a couple steps in the water to get seated in the kayak. After that, the group will cruise at a relaxed pace downstream for a couple miles as the moon rises, then turn around and paddle back. The total miles of paddling is four miles round-trip.

Children must be at least eight years of age and can swim. Event canceled in the event of rain and money refunded.
