Laurel Sorenson is a bluesy rock artist from Encinitas, CA. At 19 years of age, Sorenson has played over 60 shows at venues ranging from dog washes to House of Blues San Diego. Her music consists of soulful vocals and darkly defiant lyrics. According to Taylor Romine of ListenLocalSD.com, Sorenson is “A new queen of sass [whose] bluesy vocal brings her music full force. She is a strong-headed girl who makes you feel empowered after listening.” Sorenson’s debut EP “See What You Got” (produced by Kris Towne), was released by Rainbow Hank Productions in the fall of 2013. Her music can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon mp3, and Soundcloud. She reached number two in San Diego on Reverbnation with her band the Ink Slingers. Sorenson and the Ink Slingers formed in their senior year of high school and played many of their gigs in North County San Diego where they developed a passionately loyal fan base. She has since moved to Nashville, TN in pursuit of a career as a songwriter and performer. Her song “Stay,” originally recorded at the Conservatory of Recording Arts in Tempe, Arizona, was featured on KUCI 88.9FM in Irvine, California.
