In 2010, singer/songwriter Lindsay Ellyn released her first single, “Gone”, kickstarting her career in songwriting. The same year, Lindsay’s original song, “Two Lovers”, won a national contest to be featured in the 2012 film The Right to Love: An American Family—a documentary featuring one gay family’s struggle to raise their two children in the wake of California’s Proposition 8 ruling.
After gigging around New York and garnering a local following, Lindsay began recording her debut project and in August 2012 released the Shores EP independently.
Her new EP, Out of Road, will drop in May 2015. Produced by Dean Miller, the project features famed musicians including Chad Cromwell, Dan Dugmore, Steve Nathan and others.
Music aside, Lindsay believes in dedicating much of her life to service. She is supporter of The Doe Fund, a performer with Musicians on Call bringing the healing power of music to hospital patients, and tirelessly supports various animal rescue organizations including Bonaparte’s Retreat and Crossroads Campus.
After 12 years in NYC, she now resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
