LISTEN: The Silence Speaks - Lenten Retreat
Please note, this event has expired.
A silent retreat designed to provide space, resources, and content for enrichment, reenergizing, and renewal during the season of Lent. The art of listening will be experienced through a variety of exercises and resources including labyrinth walking, contemplative music,
art meditation, silent meditation, group presentations, and reading for discernment. Experiencing silence in the midst of an urban setting is unique and very meaningful. This retreat will provide for each participant time for introspection and prayer, and time to gain strength and direction to continue the spiritual journey.
Melissa Tidwell has written about spirituality, music, metaphor, and zombies. She is the former editor of Alive Now magazine, and the author of Embodied Light: Advent Reflections on Incarnation. She contributed to the Companions in Christ small group formation series and has also written for Weavings magazine.
