Lobo Winery Winemaker Victoria Coleman

Lobo Wines are the creation of the husband wife team, Randy and Krys Wulff. Until their first vintage was released in 2009, they exclusively sold fruit to wineries such as Lewis, Pine Ridge and Mumm. Victoria Coleman was exposed to classic, Old World winemaking in 2008 when she worked alongside Erick Tourbier at Chateau Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux, France. Lobo Wulff Napa Valley Chardonnay has its oak influence and creamy butter kept in subtle balance. It was aged 11 months in 75% new French oak and made with 100% malolactic fermentation, The fruit showcases wonderful tropical fruit on the nose, with ripe pear, lime and caramel apple mid-palate. Lobo Wulff Napa Valley Pinot Noir is a beautiful garnet color, with loads of strawberry, black cherry and pie crust. Lobo Wulff Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has crushed black cherry and mocha on the nose. The mouthfeel is smooth, with fine-grained tannins mid palate and a long finish. The fruit is bright, with red cherry, blackberry, ripe plum and currant. Enjoy graham cracker and caramel on the finish. Lobo Wulff Napa Valley Atlas Peak Cabernet has aromas of blackberry, cassis and slightly smokey chocolate. The mouthfeel is polished and supple, with flavors of ripe plum, black currant and blackberry. Winemaker, Victoria Coleman, added small amounts of petit verdot and merlot for an added dimension of flavors and texture, and all the fruit comes from our own family vineyards on Atlas Peak.
