Hatteras Island, NC native turned Nashville, TN transplant, this pint-sized dreamer has been following the beat of her own drum since getting her first guitar at 15. Mary Joy has been growing in her songwriting since the age of 4, from writing silly little songs about ponies, to writing the senior class song for her high school graduation in 2015; A song that then went to become her first official studio produced single “Hometown Song.” Her time spent in Nashville studying songwriting at Trevecca Nazarene University led her to the journey of releasing her very first EP, an acoustic bundle of songs recorded live on her college campus in 2018. What’s next for Mary Joy McDaniel? Guess you’ll have to “Stick Around” to find out.
