Mandy Barnett charms with a fresh take on songs that made Nashville famous. Mandy’s “Nashville Songbook” is a collection of tunes that define this era—some of the most influential and iconic country and pop standards ever written. Barnett salutes this great anthology, performing songs originally recorded by artists as diverse as Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Tammy Wynette, Hank Williams, The Everly Brothers, Brenda Lee, Johnny Cash, and more—including Meghan Trainor modern surprise.
With her own recordings and live shows, Mandy Barnett has established herself as one of the great interpreters of American classic country and pop music. She first made her mark as a teenager portraying Patsy Cline in multiple sold-out runs of the stage musical Always…Patsy Cline at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium. Barnett has since built on that stage success considerably, carving out a profile recording career with multiple critically acclaimed albums. (Rolling Stone named her I’ve Got a Right to Cry its “Top Country Album” in the year of its release) and showcasing her one-of-a-kind vocal talent on stages across the country and around the globe – from international music festivals to the Grand Ole Opry.
