Meditations

The opening of Meditations will take place during the First Saturday Art Crawl in downtown Nashville, Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm.

Universal emotions such as loneliness, grief and contentment are juxtaposed against dream-like alternate realities in the paintings of Alison Logan. Esoteric folktales along with stories not yet written create a compelling narrative that commands the viewer to stand and not only look, but to observe.

Drawing on her love of the figure in nature, she creates landscapes that have threads of darkness and light, weaving in aspects of Art Nouveau, Surrealism, and illustration.

REMINDER: For those who haven’t visited before, Corvidae is the ONLY gallery on the ground level of the Arcade and the largest, with two floors of gallery space. Corvidae is closest to the Fourth Avenue entrance, two doors away from the stairs leading upstairs.
