MTGS January 2020 meeting
Program: “Ancestors, Antiques, and Artifacts!” This is our highly-anticipated annual “Show and Tell” Meeting.
Program: “Ancestors, Antiques, and Artifacts!” This is our highly-anticipated annual “Show and Tell” Meeting. We welcome those who have an interest in all things Genealogy related. Come and hear why others became interested in genealogy. Share your own history by bringing prized photos, artifacts, or heirlooms from your ancestors. We look forward to this event each year and enjoy seeing photographs, clothing, jewelry, family history books or other items that enlighten us about your family history. Bring your item and share your story. Join us for a day to share and honor your past. Who knows… you may even find a cousin or someone researching your family tree! This is an exciting get-together because we never know what items will be presented and what we can learn. Don’t be shy–you’re among friends. Bring something to share or just come to see what others are sharing.
MTGS meeting will be held in the 5th floor auditorium. And since the meeting is at TSLA, come early or stay late. Bring your research to-do list and do some research while you’re there (Saturday hours are 8:00-4:30). Additional parking is available behind the building and numbered/reserved spots may be used by visitors on Saturdays.
The Library & Archives provides free patron parking in its dedicated underground garage. To access the garage, patrons must obtain a library card at the first-floor receptionist desk. First-time patrons may park temporarily in the parallel street parking on Rep. John Lewis Way North during this process. After receiving an activated library card from the security receptionist, patrons should move their vehicles to the garage via the ramp on Jackson Street/Junior Gilliam Way.
