The Parthenon, in partnership with Centennial Park Conservancy, will present a new exhibition, Music in the Park: Songs and Stories from Centennial Park 1896 – 2020.

Centennial Park has a historic association with song, and the Parthenon’s upcoming exhibit, Music in the Park, celebrates that by presenting stories of the music, musicians, and audiences in the park from the Tennessee Centennial Exposition through Musicians Corner

The exhibit will feature artifacts from Fisk Jubilee SingersBruce Springsteen, Blind Boys of Alabama, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Carrie Underwood, Brenda Lee, and many more.

Music in the Park will be on display in the Parthenon’s East Gallery from August 7 through December 6, 2020.
