Music of Oppression and Survival: Black Arts in America Panel Discussion

Join for a panel discussion of music of oppression and survival, including flamenco, capoeira, spirituals, and blues featuring guest artists Diana Dinicola, Chayito Champion, Odessa Settles, Cam Kimbrough and Damion Yella P Pearson as well as Global’s own Michael EmeEme Irvin and Grupo Balanca Capoeira.

Join for the panel discussion, stick around for some barbecue catered by Papa Turney’s BBQ, then enjoy Memphissippi Sounds in concert.

The panel and concert will also be offered virtually for a reduced fee.
