Nashville Jewish Film Festival | Monsieur Mayonnaise

Presented by Nashville Jewish Film Festival at Belcourt Theatre, Nashville TN

Nov 09 2017
Nashville Jewish Film Festival | Monsieur Mayonnaise

Hosted by the Vanderbilt University Holocaust Lecture Series with SPECIAL GUEST Ari Dubin, Executive Director, Vanderbilt University Hillel & Rev. Mark Forrester, Vanderbilt University Chaplain, Director of Religious Life

MONSIEUR MAYONNAISE follows artist and cult filmmaker Philippe Mora as he uncovers his father’s remarkable exploits, specifically his father’s friendship with Marcel Marceau. The two saved thousands of Jewish lives by stuffing secret Resistance documents in baguettes dripping with garlicky mayonnaise that Nazi border guards would refuse to handle. We follow Mora as he recreates his family history through his vibrant paintings.
