Nashville Public Library Literary Award Gala Public Lecture

Nashville Public Library’s Public Lecture offers the opportunity for the entire community to come together in celebration.

Established in 2004, the Nashville Public Library Literary Award recognizes distinguished authors for their illustrious contributions to the world of books, literacy, and reading. Each year, they bring an outstanding individual to Nashville, this year it is two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning, National Book Award-winning, and New York Times bestselling author Colson Whitehead, for a weekend-long celebration to honor their achievements while simultaneously raising funds to support Nashville Public Library and its essential education and literacy programs and resources. The free Public Lecture offers the opportunity for the entire community to come together in celebration.
