Jeremy Porter & The Tucos bring their rock and roll from Detroit to Nashville in support their new album Above The Sweet Tea Line (New Fortune Records). Nashville’s Ned Van Go, The Excuses and Lexington’s Those Crosstown Rivals round out the bill.
JP & The Tucos sound like guitars and whiskey, hooks and heartache, energy and passion. You’ll find everything from Cheap Trick to Gram Parsons, Husker Du to Uncle Tupelo, Merle Haggard to Ted Nugent on their turntables. The racket they make is a little bit of each. It’s Detroit rock and roll, even if Detroit isn’t quite ready for it. The “Below The Sweet Tea Line 2015 Southeast USA Tour” starts in Detroit and will take them through Ohio, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Kentucky.
