NPT's 'Hiding in Plain Sight' Screening and Discussion

A free event featuring a screening and discussion of Ken Burns’ HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT documentary about youth mental health issues.

NPT’s ‘Hiding in Plain Sight’ Screening and Discussion

Join Nashville Public Television, WPLN and Metro Nashville Public Schools for a screening and discussion of Ken Burns’ HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT film and resources for handling mental illness.

Following a short film screening, Khalil Ekulona, host of WPLN’s “This is Nashville,” will lead a panel discussion with Monica Coverson, MNPS Director of Social Work & Trauma Informed Schools; Will “Big Fella” Simms, MNPS parent and community leader; Sasha Nicole Cory, MNPS parent, former teacher and licensed family therapist, along with local youth voices. Refreshments will be available for audience members, along with information regarding local youth and family resources for mental wellness will also be available during this event.
