On the Frontier: Longhunter Life Re-enactments

Step back into frontier life as longhunter re-enactors portray late-18th century explorers and demonstrate the skills needed to survive an expedition into the wild!

Longhunter re-enactors will occupy Bledsoe’s Fort Historical Park to demonstrate 18th century muzzleloading rifle shooting, tomahawk throwing, fire starting, and other activities common to the frontier. Two historic buildings, the early 1800s stone Rogan Cottage and the Parker Cabin, will be open to tour. Walk the trail to the frontier cemetery that includes the graves of early Sumner County frontiersmen Isaac and Anthony Bledsoe. All are welcome to attend this fun living history event!
