This #Artober, consider Figure Sculpting with Alan LeQuire. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced artist, Open Studio offers an opportunity to work from the life model along side one of Nashville’s masters.

Alan LeQuire is a nationally recognized artist best known for his colossal Athena statue located inside the Nashville Parthenon, and Musica, located at the gateway of Music Row. He is also well known for his portraiture and small figurative works in bronze and terra cotta.

LeQuire has been a long-standing supporter of the revival of the atelier movement having offered his open studio since 1984. Attendees meet as their schedules allow throughout the spring and fall seasons on Tuesday evenings, to hone their skills working from the life model. Most participants choose to sculpt with Alan. Some prefer to draw or paint.

Materials are provided for those sculpting. Those who wish to draw or paint bring their own supplies. Alan is available to help (answer questions, critique, etc…) on an individual basis, as needed.

Payments can be made via credit card to (615) 298-4611. Participants can also stop by the gallery anytime prior to the event to pay by cash, check or credit card. This special #Artober session of Open Studio can only accommodate 12 participants. Reservations are required.
