Peter Collins has emerged as a new force in music with a sound that is an eclectic mix of R&B, Soul, and Jazz with an Inspirational core foundation. Peter has established his own identity with his endearing vocals and musical versatility. He is supremely talented with amazing musical instincts. Peter’s voice is clear, sultry, and soulful. He possesses such a powerful, beautiful, and masterful consistent sense of command with his voice; and his guitar playing is remarkable in its own right.

Uniquely adept in the arts and various styles and genres of music, Peter is a multifaceted creative visionary. Creating a mood for people is what he desires. The way he sings and plays, his goal is to provide the listener with a whole host of intimate emotions. In an ever-changing world that is in crisis, Peter’s mission is to spread love, peace, joy and healing through the power of words and music. His prayer is that by listening to his music, one’s faith will be strengthened, hope will be restored, and the listener will get what they need.

The state of New Jersey’s largest city, Newark is known for being the birthplace of some of the world’s most notable artists, entertainers and creatives. Peter Collins is a Jamaican, Cuban American raised in Newark, NJ, where his passion for music originated. As a student at Arts High School, he cultivated his artistry, and excelled at vocal classical music and contemporary music performance.

Peter first began building his music career by posting videos of himself covering songs on social media, and people instantly fell in love with him, his voice, and his music. Peter’s soft, smooth, gentle but immensely soulful voice is comforting to any ear. Additionally, he is a vocalist whose spirit is as gentle and captivating as his mesmerizing voice.

In terms of his artistry, songwriting, and music, Peter takes an organic approach to his creative process. Peter says, “I hear music everywhere and in everything. Music is all around us.” His songwriting is compellingly honest, authentic, and thought provoking. He is not afraid to experiment freely to follow a musical idea to its ultimate end. This mentality has led Peter to explore writing music and render performances that transcends genre and even unimagined creative terrain.

Peter released his debut album, Love and Mind, on December 17, 2018. Several of the songs on his album have a deeply personal connection for Peter. With tunes that are based around, love, light, healing, and mind transformation, the music is inspirational, potent, and relevant with simple messages. Composed of a collection of original material, it is Peter’s goal for the album to transport listeners musically, spiritually, and emotionally.

The music that Peter creates is organic, genuine, and driven by his love and passion for music. Peter draws from all the genres not belonging to just one. He is inspirational; he is R&B; he is Soul; he is Jazz; he is music from other cultures. Creating music is his genre.
