Premiere of PRISM

Presented by OZ Arts Nashville at OZ Arts Nashville, Nashville TN

Mar 12 - 21 2021
Premiere of PRISM

The vast OZ Arts Warehouse is transformed for this live performance experience featuring original choreography by Nashville’s David Flores and original music performed live under the direction of George Miller

OZ Arts’ expansive warehouse is transformed for this performance installation experience created for a physically distanced world. Small audience groups (no more than 20 at a time) journey through a visual environment featuring striking installations with rich lighting and sound design to explore aspects of voyeurism, our changing relationship to physical intimacy, and the role of chance in determining ultimate outcomes.

A series of provocative movement episodes unfolds in 30-minute cycles featuring different combinations of dancers chosen at random. With choreography by Nashville-based artist David Flores and an original score by George Miller, PRISM invites audiences to examine personally held societal expectations and the ways we interact with one another at a time when relationships both private and public have been redefined.

Health and safety protocols will be enforced, including mandatory masks, temperature screenings and social distancing. Audiences are standing or moving throughout this event, but seating is available by request.

Tickets for PRISM are $15 and are available now at https://www.ozartsnashville.org/prism/. Each performance cycle is open to a limited audience. Following the March 12th premiere, performances will continue March 13-14 and March 19-21 with matinee and evening options available on the weekends.
