This hands on cheese making workshop explores the basics of cheese making with an emphasis on setting up your home kitchen and the basic equipment required. We then dive into a full day of making curds and learning the different techniques required to make Feta, Fromage Blanc-a really rich cream cheese, the popular bloomy rind Double Cream Camembert and Tasty Tidbits-a pressed washed curd/rind cheese button that is perfect as a snack or just as impressive on a cheese plate.
You’ll see all the cheeses at various stages of development and master the techniques that will give you the confidence to follow the recipes at home. And best of all, these delicious cheeses are all tested with high quality store bought milk-so there’s no worry about replicating the recipes on your own.
Includes a full day of hands-on instruction in a specially designed cheese kitchen, detailed recipes and equipment review, lunch and refreshments. Class size is limited to six individuals. Please call or email to check for class availability.
