Ron Gallo or RONNY is a rock n’ roll band lead by a tall, big-haired weirdo of the same name. He once fronted band Toy Soldiers but is now making a second solo record embracing his love for fuzz, psych and early punk, a reinvention from his debut “weirdo country” sunday morning vibed, “RONNY”. He sings his ass off and thinks its important to laugh at yourself.
During his tenure with former band Toy Soldiers, which began as lo-fi guitar/drum duo expanding into at one time a 12-piece band he released two LP’s and three EP’s working with various small indie labels out of Philadelphia and having shared the stage with Wanda Jackson, Dr. John, Deer Tick, The Walkmen, Dr. Dog, J. Roddy Walston , etc. and was called USA Today’s “Bands to Watch in 2013” with appearances on PBS SUN Studio Special, Daytrotter, Audiotree and many more.
