RVSHVD + Willie Jones
From Willacoochee, Georgia, RVSHVD pronounced (RA-SHAAD) started making music ten years ago. While listening to rap beats as a young teen, RVHSVD realized a new talent for songwriting. Crediting Lil Bow Wow as an early influence, he dug deeper into the power of songwriting studying the pens of Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Tupac.
He signed with Penthouse South/Sumerian Records and has built a following of 1.3 million fans on TikTok and is approaching 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Rolling Stone declared RVSHVD “one of the most intriguing new singers in the genre” and Holler Country called him “Country’s Next Big Thing”. Currently, he has over 100 million streams across all platforms which includes his most recent release “Hit Different”.
Sony Music Nashville / The Penthouse innovator and “country-trap iconoclast” (Grammy.com) Willie Jones blasted on the scene with his critically acclaimed debut album Right Now, which featured his lauded single “American Dream.” Named one of the 12 Black Artists Shaping Country Music’s Future by USA Today, Jones most recently released “Get Low, Get High (Part 2)” featuring GRAMMY Award winner Jon Batiste and Pastor Michael Todd. Previously a solo release, “Get Low, Get High” serves as a rumination on embracing life’s valleys to truly appreciate the peaks. With new verses from Batiste and Todd rounding out the anthem, Part 2 amplifies the universal truth as the three musicians from all walks of life lend their voices to the message. Additionally, Jones’ version of “Bein’ Green,” appears in Amazon Music’s documentary “For Love & Country,” which declares country music has always been Black music and examines the complicated history of the genre. The rising artist serves as an ambassador for Ford Motor Company and has been covered by NPR All Things Considered, Forbes, Rolling Stone, E! News, PEOPLE, MTV and more, while performing at noteworthy festivals such as Stagecoach, CMA Fest, and Lollapalooza between tours with artists including Kidd G and more. He is currently recording new music, with his latest track “Them Girls Do” out now.
