Salon@615 with Yuyi Morales

Salon@615 is pleased to present author and illustrator Yuyi Morales for the Nashville Reads 2020 finale event.

She will discuss her book Dreamers. Ms. Morales has written and/or illustrated many books, including Dreamers, winner of the prestigious Pura Belpré illustrator award.

Dreamers is a story for people of all ages. It is Yuyi Morales’s story of immigration that depicts the transformative power of hope and reading that she found at a public library. Ms. Morales left her home in Mexico, came to the U.S. with her infant son.

Metro government is modernizing the parking garage adjacent to the Main Library. The project began late June 2016. Approximately 360 spaces will be added, and other improvements will be made to the garage. Seventy-five parking spaces are temporarily closed for the duration of construction. Project completion is expected in spring of 2018.

Due to the temporary parking space decrease and temporary lane closures, please allow extra time when planning to visit during peak hours or for special events.
