Second Annual Bare Branches Festival
Please note, this event has expired.
Featuring crafts, building, music, sports, food as well as promoting environmental education, sustainability, and play in community.
A New Leaf, a Reggio inspired Nature preschool located in Bellevue announces its Second Annual Bare Branches Festival.
“It is a celebration of the great outdoors when the trees are bare with sleepy buds and dancing branches in winter. It is also a fundraiser for our school with fun activities open to all of Nashville’s citizens. The theme revolves around all the wonderful things that one can enjoy doing with branches, trunks, and stems (crafts, building, music, sports, food), as well as promoting environmental education, sustainability, and play in community,” says Director, Helene Harvey.
The festival will feature intimate concerts, face painting, hiking, tree identification, bird watching, games, painting on wood, beading, cooking on a fire, crafting (wands, snowpeople, walking sticks…), fort building, a multi levels obstacle course, treasure hunt, goat yoga, and more. Sustainability sessions will include composting, boot recycling, and repurposing materials into new percussion instruments. There will also be a block building challenge and a silent auction.
The price of admission will include many of the activities, while others will be ticketed. Admission also includes an all you can eat potluck hosted by parents of students and school staff.
The entry fee is $6 for children and $10 for adults. The entry fee also includes a meal and the option to cook foods on sticks over the fire. No advance tickets. Pay cash or card at gate on day of event.
