The Adventure Science Center is keeping the whole science center open until 9pm during their NEW Second Saturday!
This September they are also celebrating Classical Music Day.
Classical Music Day schedule of performances:
3pm – Nightwatch with Chatterbird Ensemble in Sudekum Planetarium Experience Nightwatch like never before with live accompaniment.
3:30pm – Intersection Ensemble – 2nd Floor Cosmic Ray’s This contemporary ensemble will expand your ideas of music!
4pm- Nashville Opera – 1st Floor Tower Stairs Ever heard live opera? It’s an experience you’ll never forget!
4:30pm – Nashville Symphony – 2nd Floor Cosmic Ray’s Music City’s very own symphony will give an intimate performance right here at ASC!
5pm – Cheap Trills – 1st Floor Tower Stairs Enjoy music in our lobby by this ensemble.
5:30pm – ALIAS – 2nd Floor Cosmic Ray’s This ensemble will play a selection of chamber music – a popular form of classical music developed originally for playing in a palace chamber.
6pm – Alicia Enstrom – 1st Floor Tower Stairs Alicia will show you that the violin is anything but boring! She’s toured with Cirque Du Soleil shows and plays both the violin and electric violin.
7pm – SONUS Performance in Sudekum Planetarium SONUS is a modern a capella choir that will dazzle you with choral accompaniment to visuals of the beauty of our universe.
For years, Adventure Science Center has opened their doors late on the Second Saturday to showcase the Sudekum Planetarium’s incredible capabilities, but the NEW Second Saturdays offer so much more! Explore more than 175 hands-on exhibits before, during and after our regular lineup of live shows, documentary-style Fulldome Features and laser shows. There might even be a special hands-on activity or demonstration for even more science fun!
That ’70s Laser Show
Laser Show | 5pm
Not a thing to do, but ROCK with you! Head back to when rock reigned supreme and stars like Freddy Mercury, Steven Tyler and Eddie Van Halen were becoming household names. Brush up those air guitar skills and throwback to the 70s (and slightly beyond).
Laser Stranger Things
Laser Show | 6pm
Take a trip to the upside-down in the safety of the dome. Experience the ’80s tunes from the show reinterpreted with vibrant laser light.
Laser Show | 8pm
Beyoncé, one of the most awarded and best-selling artists of all time, is acclaimed for her thrilling vocals, videos and live shows. Laser Beyoncé captures the fun and energy of her concerts in beautiful laser-light imagery.

Have you got a Whole Lotta Love for Led Zeppelin? Take the Stairway to Heaven to listen to some Rock-n-Roll at this ultimate Zeppelin experience. Watch classics – such as Immigrant Song and Kashmir – come to life in the fulldome environment.
