Songwriter and recording artist Billy Dean wrote his hits “Billy the Kid,” “Let Them Be Little,” “Tryin’ to Find a Fire in the Dark,” and “Somewhere in My Broken Heart,” winner of the 1991 Academy of Country Music Song of the Year award. Dean’s songs have also been recorded by Joe Diffie, Lonestar, and Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis. Presented by SunTrust.
