- Everyone saw the duo potential in Charleston, South Carolina native Matt Chase and small town Washington, Georgia’s Chris Rogers before they saw it themselves. Before morphing into the musical outfit now known as Southerland, the two had been playing college towns and dive bars together for three years. They met through mutual friends and their music compatibility is what has kept the two working and playing together since 2016. They have developed, quite naturally, into a duo that relies heavily on lyrical content, while melodically blending classic and pop country. The two create music that takes the storytelling of traditional country music and gives its a relatable, modern country feel.
- Phil Barton is an Australian songwriter living in Nashville, TN. He had his first No. 1 with the Lee Brice smash, “A Woman Like You”. This song led to a Music Row Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, and NSAI award for one of the coveted “Ten Songs I Wish I’d Written,” and has since been certified double platinum. Along with his success in American Country Music, Phil has had eleven Top Ten singles in Canada with artists like Tim Hicks, Chad Brownlee, The Washboard Union, Jojo Mason, and Meghan Patrick. In Australia, he has also had cuts with Lee Kernaghan, Missy Lancaster, Busby Marou, Jai Waetford, The Wolfe Brothers, Reigan, and more. In 2018 he signed a co-publishing deal with Liz Rose Music and Anthem formerly known as Òle. His songs have been recorded by Sara Evans, David Nail, Eli Young Band, Dustin Lynch, Cassadee Pope, Morgan Evans, Seth Ennis, LOCASH, and many more.
- With multiple Australian Country Chart and CMC #1 Singles, a Golden Guitar, 3 CMC Awards, 3 People’s Choice Awards, a Frank Ifield International Spur Award and almost a decade of touring under his belt, Troy Kemp is one of Australia’s most recognizable country music talents.
- Born in Houston, Texas, Terry Lee Palmer began playing guitar at age 9 and was influenced early on by classic and 80’s style rock. He studied classical and jazz extensively at both Middle Tennessee State University and Austin Peay State University. After school he created a career as a touring musician, playing with a variety of acts over several years and honing his country guitar style. Terry recorded “Beautiful Mess”, his first solo album, in 2006. Since 2010, Terry has been playing with country artist Jon Pardi, and in the spring of 2013, Terry signed a publishing co-venture with Jon Pardi and The Song Factory.
