The South’s premier celebration of the written word brings together 200 authors and 25,000 book lovers to the Downtown Nashville Library and historic War Memorial Plaza.
The 32nd annual Southern Festival of Books is set to return to downtown Nashville!
As the South’s preeminent celebration of the written word, writers and literary affairs, the free weekend-long lineup fosters direct interaction between festival attendees and some of the greatest authors and cultural voices alive today.
The festival brings together more than 200 authors and sessions, 60 exhibitors and 25,000 book lovers annually. Founded in 1989, the Southern Festival of Books was one of the first festivals of its kind and has become one of the most popular literary events in the United States, inspiring similar celebrations across the country. Through the festival, readers and writers of all ages communicate and collaborate over the course of the weekend to establish and promote love of the written word and lifelong learning.
