Southern Nights Songwriters Series

One of the Glen Campbell Museum & Rhinestone Stage’s most popular shows is back!

Southern Nights, a FREE songwriter series featuring performances by Stacy Antonel, Alma Russ & Eliza Thorn.

Nashville artist Stacy Antonel makes clever, country-leaning Americana that feels both vintage and hyper-modern. Her “country jazz” vocals conjure the great singers of the 20s-30s, with the emotive power of country icon Patsy Cline. Rooted in classic country and laced with elements of jazz, pop, and R&B, her narrative songs often feature unconventional themes.

Alma Russ lives in Whittier, NC when she’s not on the road. Alma returns to Glen Campbell Museum for the first time since her debut on their stage during last year’s CMA Fest. She plays patchwork music: country, folk, and Appalachian roots sewn together to make something unique. Songwriting is cheaper than therapy, and old songs make her happy.

Eliza Thorn is an authentic blues singer from the North country who currently resides in Asheville, NC. She has travelled across the states with her guitar, collecting the rambling sounds of blues, soul, and country americana along the way. Some of her influences include Patsy Cline, Gram Parsons, and Jimmie Rodgers. Her sultry sound will take you to a place unknown, yet warm and familiar.
