Historic Rock Castle is hosting a spooky event on an autumn evening that includes storytelling (family-friendly tales, too!), hot chocolate, and a roaring campfire to gather around on their site’s history-laden grounds!
A family-friendly evening of stories underneath the Rock Castle Pavilion that’s for the brave of heart! Spookier stories will be told at the Family Cemetery and in front of the historic house.
This is a fabulous event with hot chocolate, a roaring fire at the pavilion, and snacks and goodies for the kids. Come as you are or in your costume and be prepared for a thrilling night of storytelling!
Storytelling is an ancient tradition that has been around since the beginning of the human language. For thousands of years, tales and fables have been passed from generation-to-generation through the art and oral tradition of storytelling. It is a practice that encourages high levels of creativity and forms an intimate bond between the audience and the teller. It is easy enough for anyone to do – all it takes is a little imagination!
Close the computer and turn off the television and give storytelling a try! Or better yet, come out to Historic Rock Castle on the last Thursday in October and listen to the talented storytellers from Hendersonville’s own Explorastory!
