About VUTheatre:

This production is the first ever joint production of a play by VUTheatre and Fisk University. Chuck Smith of Chicago’s Goodman Theatre will direct the production. It will feature a cast and crew from both universities. The first weekend’s performances will be at Fisk’s Little Theate; the second weekend’s performances will be in Vanderbilt’s Neely Auditorium. 

VUTheatre is the student organization affiliated with the Vanderbilt Department of Theatre. Membership and participation in VUTheatre is open to all students at Vanderbilt, regardless of their area of study.

Apart from encouraging students to participate on and off the stage in VUTheatre’s exciting season, the student organization hosts social events including a holiday party and end of the year banquet. VUTheatre encourages original student work, from student produced shows to the annual 24 Hour Production, in which students collaborate to put together a show over the course of a day and night.

To join VUTheatre, the cost of membership is $30 or $15 per semester. Members must complete 8 hours of work for a show (whether acting or as a crew member) per semester to be eligible to attend the holiday party, the end of the year banquet, or vote in elections.
