Taj Mahal - A Dance Theater Production

Depicting an eternal love story through English narration, classical Indian kathak dance, original music, and ancient poetry.

A teardrop on the cheek of time.

Taj Mahal is a 90 minute original dance theatre production created by Sonia Chaudhuri.

This dance theatre is inspired by the tragic and eternal love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.  This symbol of everlasting love was created by Shah Jahan and completed in in the 17th century as a memorial to his queen.   Since then, this architectural marvel is considered one of the seven wonders of the world.

Through English narration, theatre, Kathak choreography, poetry by Rumi and lyrics by Amir Khusraw this production will bring to life an enchanting era of Indian history.

$25/General Admission (+ $1.88 service fee)  (Row G and onwards)

$400/Grand Patron + $ 15 Service fee
One GRAND PATRON ticket includes 4 tickets for sitting in the Front Row (Row D). GRAND PATRON ticket holders will get recognition on the Upasana Foundation Website and Brochure. Seating will open at 5:30pm.

$200/Patron + $ 8.00 Service fee
One PATRON Ticket includes 3 tickets for sitting in the 2nd Row (Row E). Seating will open at 5:30pm.

$100/Donor + $ 4.50 Service fee
One DONOR Ticket includes 2 tickets for sitting in the 3rd Row (Row F). Seating will open at 5:30pm.
