The Farm to host seminar on therapy dogs

The Farm at Natchez Trace, a unique pet lodging, grooming, training and daycare facility and pet boutique, will host an educational seminar on Sunday, May 31 at 2 p.m. featuring Linda Brewer discussing therapy animals.

The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and reservations are requested by calling The Farm at 615-662-6628, or by emailing  A question and answer session will follow the lecture.

Brewer, vice chair of the board of directors and lead instructor for Therapy ARC (Animals Reaching Clients), will share insightful information on what it takes for a pet to become a therapy animal, including the temperament, training and commitment needed to participate.

Brewer has two Pet Partner German shepherd dogs, three other rescued dogs, and six rescued cats.  She has taught puppy and basic obedience classes for years and she continues to work with individuals and groups to help with rescue and education.

The educational series is provided by The Farm to help pet owners gain knowledge about current issues affecting the emotional and physical health of their pets.

The Farm, situated on 18 acres of farmland, offers luxury indoor suites for cats and dogs, grooming, dog daycare and training, indoor playrooms, expansive outdoor play fields, and shaded walking trails along a creek.  The Farm at Natchez Trace is located at 9479 Highway 96 West in Franklin, near the intersection with Natchez Trace.  For more information about the seminar, call 662-6628 or visit
