CANCELLED - Tour de France! at Croft Design Center Middle School

From the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra:

We regret to announce that the MARCH 3 TOUR DE FRANCE CONCERT IS CANCELLED. We will NOT be performing the concert scheduled for tonight March 3 at Croft Middle Design Center School.  We are all saddened by the tragedy striking Nashville this morning and send our thoughts and prayers to any in our audience who may have been affected.

The Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra continues its 17th season with Tour de France!

Three composers not only show the unique sounds, musical styles, and culture of France, but also the scope of early twentieth century music, from the jazz roots of Gershwin’s An American in Paris, to the impressionism of Debussy’s La Mer and to the genre-bending playfulness and strong contrasts in Poulenc’s Gloria with chorus and soprano soloist Rebekah Alexander.

George Gershwin | An American in Paris
Claude Debussy | La Mer
Francis Poulenc | Gloria
with Nashville Philharmonic Festival Chorus
and solist Rebekah Alexander

Two performances:
March 1 at 4:30pm at Nashville State Community College in the H Building Auditorium on the Main Campus.

March 3 at 7pm at Croft Design Center Middle School in the gymnasium.
