The Tennessee Agricultural Museum, located on the spacious grounds of the Ellington Agricultural Center, has an extensive collection of home and farm artifacts from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Exhibited in a renovated plantation barn, the museum features textiles, a woodworking collection, blacksmith shop, wagons and large equipment such as a Jumbo steam engine. The experience continues with log cabins, farm house, one-room school, gardens and nature trails.
Self-guided tours are free for individuals. Group reservations are required with a small fee for demonstrations and educational programs. The museum is handicapped accessible with ample bus parking. Please call (615) 837-5197 for scheduling, cancellations, or changes in group number.
