Vanderbilt's 5th Annual MEGAMicrobe
A free community-focused event that celebrates and explores the fun, magical world of tiny microbial creatures for kids 14 and under.
All aboard the MEGAMicrobe Express! In partnership with Nashville Parent, Vanderbilt Scientists at the Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation are proud to introduce MEGAMicrobe, a free community-focused event that celebrates and explores the fun, magical world of tiny microbial creatures.
Taking place at Warner Elementary Arts Magnet School, MEGAMicrobe’s goal is to introduce Nashville’s youth under 14 years-old to topics and careers in science. For the fifth year in a row, MEGAMicrobe will explore the different types of microbes that you live with every day, in an exciting, interactive setting that includes educational booths, science experiments, hands-on activities, games, prizes, and giveaways.
MEGAMicrobe is hosted by scientists from Vanderbilt University, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center who are all dedicated to showing the Nashville community that science is fun, accessible, and important. Families, parents, teachers, and students are all invited to come learn about microbes and the important role they play in human health.
