Nashville Zoo is a progressive and dynamic zoological park serving Middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky and hundreds of thousands of tourists that travel to Nashville every year. With just 86 of 188 acres developed, Nashville Zoo is the 9th largest zoo in the country by landmass. The Zoo is one of the top tourist attractions in the state and has been named the Best Regional Attraction and Best Day Trip by The Tennessean.
From African giraffes and Caribbean flamingos to clouded leopards and red pandas, Nashville Zoo is home to more than 2,100 animals from all over the world. Over three-quarters of a million visitors come to Nashville Zoo annually, making us the number one attraction in Middle Tennessee. Our master plan will expand the park into the remaining acreage of Grassmere, and when complete, Nashville Zoo will be one of the largest zoos in the country.
