Voted one of the 15 Best Food Tours in America, Walk Eat Nashville offers walking food tours in neighborhoods that put Nashville on the culinary map.
The Walk Eat Nashville Downtown tour takes you through one of Nashville’s most happening areas, SoBro, which has completely transformed in less than a decade. Hotels and high-rises replaced parking lots. Live music venues emerged from old industrial sites. And culinary hotspots opened so quickly that local food lovers are still catching up with the changes.
Join us on a walking and eating excursion through SoBro/Downtown to get oriented in this rapidly evolving area within earshot of Music City’s must-see attractions.
With five tasting stops over three hours, you’ll savor a variety of local flavors. Elevated Southern fare mingles with comfort food, and seasonal ingredients are always in the mix. You’ll indulge in the world’s first combination candy bar created more than 100 years ago–and reimagined deliciously today. At many locations, you’ll enjoy personal interaction with chefs and food industry professionals.
Between bites, you’ll walk on Nashville’s Music Mile and learn fun facts about the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Johnny Cash Museum and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. You’ll hear the story behind Nashville’s “Athens of the South” nickname, along with who dubbed Nashville “Music City.” Our engaging guide will share stories that even locals don’t know.
We look forward to hosting you, whether you’re a first-time visitor looking for an authentic Nashville experience or a local who wants to feel more connected to our rapidly evolving city.
