West Nash DC 5K - Year 5!

When we first dreamed of the idea of having an annual 5K race years ago we knew one thing: we wanted people to actually run through the neighborhood that we serve and meet the people we love. By running through the community, our hope has always been that people would come back and serve alongside us. After becoming our own 501(c)3 we knew that the 5K race was an obvious future fundraiser, and because last year we were able to secure grocery store partners through Second Harvest we no longer have a need for non-perishables as your entry fee. So, what does this mean? This is the year we can finally turn our unique little 5K into a real fundraiser! We know that the cost is a sacrifice but we also know that you have run in the past most likely because someone told you about the West Nashville Dream Center and it gave you a way to support us. This year it’s the same thing, except our dreams are bigger, the need is greater, and our community has expanded. The funds we collect in this year’s 5K will help us continue our ministries, and keep our mission alive for this community.

Immediately following the awards ceremony of the 5K, you are invited to the OneCITY One DREAM event @OneC1ty. To celebrate the five year anniversary of our race, we are teaming up with OneCITY to host a party open to the public from 10 AM-1PM! 5K participants get free entry to the event with their race bib. Your 5K registration gives you access to TWO great events! All others pay $10. Tickets include music from local bands, yoga hosted by Habitat Yoga, food trucks, OneCITY restaurant vendors, themed raffle prize packages, bounce house, balloon artist, and so much more! 

The race takes place off of 40th Avenue North.
