West Nash DC 5K

When West Nashville Dream Center first dreamed of the idea of having an annual 5K race years ago, they knew one thing: they wanted people to actually run through the neighborhood that they serve and meet the people they love. By running through the community, their hope has always been that people would come back and serve alongside them. After becoming theirr own 501(c)3 they knew that the 5K race was an obvious future fundraiser, and because last year they were able to secure grocery store partners through Second Harvest they no longer have a need for non-perishables as the entry fee. So, what does this mean? This is the year they can finally turn their unique little 5K into a real fundraiser! They know that the cost is a sacrifice but also know that participants have run in the past most likely because someone told them about the West Nashville Dream Center and it gave them a way to support West Nashville Dream Center. This year it’s the same thing, except their dreams are bigger, the need is greater, and this community has expanded. The funds collected in this year’s 5K will help them continue their ministries, and keep their mission alive for this community.

The race takes place off of 40th Avenue North.
