Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Wild & Scenic Film Festival is comprised of eight short films are great examples of action being taken in other areas that are very similar to our work on the State Scenic Harpeth, such as nutrient pollution, as well as local films from BGA students
Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival works with environmental groups across the globe to host the film festival to outreach into their communities and bring together a diverse audience. The goal is to use film to inspire activism and increase better community understanding of the connection we share with the planet and our role as stewards to keep it healthy for future generations. In addition, we will have films from Battle Ground Academy students showcasing their work to make our rivers, their campus and our environment better!
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a great family event where people can learn more about how and why to protect your rivers and environments. Soil kits, information on how to become a Citizen Scientist and more will also be available. Door prizes from Nantahala Outdoor Center, Meridee’s Breadbasket and national partners will be given out at the end of the films. Local sponsors of the event include: Paddle Dog Adventures (who will be distributing promotional coupons for summer floats), Cumberland Kayak, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Rock City Construction, Village Real Estate, Puckett’s Boat House, Mississippi River Network and the Barbara J. Mapp Foundation.

Informational tables and staff will be available from 6:30-7:00p.m. to talk with attendees.

All of the parking in downtown Franklin is free. You can park on the street for up to four hours or all day in one of the two public parking garages.
