Wilson County Fair

Things are already “buzzing” as the Wilson County Fair is just around the corner – August 17-25.
The Wilson County Fair remains a community and agriculturally based fair. The fair promotes beef cattle, dairy cattle, goats, sheep, hogs, horses, mules and donkeys, row crops, forages, canning, baking, crafts, photography, art, quilts, lots of different types of handmade items, vegetables, flowers, fruits, dogs and cats and bees for every fair goers.
There are tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and music entertainment on five stages. Don’t miss taking a stroll through Fiddlers Grove Historic Village and step back in time and remember how people use to live. See broom making, weaving, corn shuck dolls, garden demonstrations, outdoor cooking, basket making, blacksmithing, gristmill where they grind corn into corn meal, making of molasses, and grab a coke at the old time General Store.View a full list of scheduled events.
There are rides and all kinds of fair food that is sure to put smiles on faces and make memories for the whole family that will last a lifetime. WOW – this list could go on and on. You just need to come and “Taste the Fun” at this year’s fair.
