Young Writers' Festival

Presented by Nashville Repertory Theatre and The Theater Bug at ONLINE, Nashville TN

Jan 15 - 16 2021
Young Writers' Festival

The festival will premiere six brand new plays from Nashville’s newest playwrights! The young writers were selected in November, developed their plays alongside Nashville Rep’s Nate Eppler and The Theater Bug’s Cori Anne Laemmel in December, cast and recorded their plays at the beginning of the year, and now they’re ready to share their new works with you!

The first ever Young Writers’ Festival includes the following brand new plays:
Eclipse by Christopher Cooper (Centennial High School); Sinister Love by Meronica Forrester-Kent (Harpeth Hall); Alone Together by Liliana Gomez (Nashville School of the Arts); The Bat by Dock Havey (Hillsboro High); Turn of the Tables by Caroline Luttrull (Harpeth Hall); and Birthday Wishes for Emilia by Tigris Parada (homeschool).

The Young Writers’ Festival will be split into two nights and streamed live on Nashville Rep’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Both nights of new plays will begin at 7pm central.
