This post is part of a special NowPlayingNashville.com Stories Series titled CMA Fest Gives Back, focusing on how artists use the Festival as an opportunity to raise money and bring attention to the many charitable causes they support.
Miranda Lambert will be marching during CMA Music Festival for a cause we can all get behind: finding forever homes for shelter dogs. On Thursday, June 8, the official first day of the Festival, Lambert will lead the inaugural MuttNation March from Nissan Stadium to Fan Fair X at Music City Center, where the MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive will set up shop throughout the Festival.
“So many shelter pets need a home, so we are going to march to raise awareness,” said Lambert in a statement. “Country music has the best fans in the world and together we can help so many animals find amazing homes.”
For $15, you and your mutts can march through Downtown Nashville with the Grammy Award-winner. The registration fee also includes a MuttNation t-shirt.
The festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. Some of the dogs available for adoption at Fan Fair X will be marching, so keep your eyes peeled for these adorable pups below.
