Nashville Fashion Week night four presented with OZ Arts Nashville featured Ashe Cain, Justin Mark Richards, Amanda Casarez, Nadeau, and Any Old Iron. Ticket proceeds from Nashville Fashion Week benefit the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
If you’d like to learn more about each designer from night one and their involvement with Nashville Fashion Week, you can read their bios here.
Justin Mark Richards is the guitarist for Dan + Shay by day and designs clothing on his time off. He said,”pretty much Wednesday through Sunday, I’m on the road with them. Then I come home to clothing and fashion.”
Justin added that he loves making people feel good in their clothes. “If you buy a new piece of clothing that you really love, you feel really good about it. Why not make something that makes you feel good about yourself.”
For a long time, Justin made clothing for himself. He also made pieces for artists like Little Big Town and Lucy Hale. Then finally, he realized, “I should just try to do this! It feels like a dream to me.”
How many times have you been at Nashville Fashion Week?
This is my second year and my second fashion show that I’ve ever been to.
What was your favorite piece from tonight’s runway show?
There was this Grateful Dead jacket with an orange arm and Harley Davidson patch on it. My uncle was a Harley dude. I grew up with him going on all the rides and stuff. That was kinda like an homage to him.
Then the girl who was in all denim with the cowboy hat on. That was my Grandpa’s hat that he never got to wear.
Then I love the Spice Girls because I’m a 90s kid. And girl power!
Where can Nashvillians or visitors to the city find your designs?
