It’s been more than 60 years since Lerner and Loewe’s classic musical Camelot first premiered on Broadway. But thanks to Studio Tenn’s sleek, smart and eminently engaging production – on stage through May 15 – audiences have a whole new way to experience an old favorite.
The piano-playing crooner had hits with “Stand By Me,” “Don’t the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time,” and an appearance in John Travolta’s 1980 box-office smash about a mechanical bull.
The bar, restaurant, and music venue’s last day downtown is May 29. Jane’s Hideaway has been a downtown oasis for live music and cocktails since opening in Nashville’s Printers Alley two years ago, but soon owner John Peet will close up shop on Third Avenue and bring the venue, bar, and restaurant to a new home in East Nashville (407 Gallatin Ave.).
