Local treasure and tourist attraction The Loveless Cafe started serving fried chicken and biscuits to hungry travelers along Highway 100 way back in 1951. But have you ever tried their terrific turkey and dressing?
The Loveless is just one spot to treat yourself and your extended family and let the restaurant pros do the work, as Thanksgiving Day 2019 dining options abound for locals and tourists alike with both dine-in and takeout options. (Best to call ahead now for reservations, if possible.)
Other homestyle options include Hermitage House Smorgasbord, Monell’s (Germantown and Manor locations), all Puckett’s locations, downtown’s Woolworth on 5th, and Lebanon, Tennessee-headquartered Cracker Barrel locations.
Fine holiday dining can be found at the tried-and-true Capitol Grille located in the deck-in-holiday-finery The Hermitage Hotel, Sperry’s (both Belle Meade and Cool Springs locations), Giovanni Ristorante Midtown, along with offerings from downtown and midtown stalwarts and relative newcomers Merchants (upstairs and downstairs), Gray & Dudley, Henley, Marsh House, Oak Steakhouse, Makeready Libations & Liberation, Morton’s the Steakhouse, Pemrose, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Mason’s and Del Frisco’s Grille.
Prolific chef and restaurateur Maneet Chauhan again is offering three decidedly different Turkey Day options on the same block in The Gulch: The Thanksgiving tasting menu at her acclaimed Indian-Southern restaurant Chauhan Ale & Masala House; a special holiday menu at her neighboring Chinese spot Tansuo; and a multi-course offering from upscale contemporary diner The Mockingbird. Other contemporaries stepping up for Turkey day include The 404 Kitchen and Adele’s in The Gulch, Mane & Rye Dinerant in Midtown, Hathorne and Miel in Sylvan Park and Saint Stephen in Germantown.
The Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation also includes a list of restaurants as well as catering options. VIEW THAT LIST HERE. And don’t forget to check OpenTable.com and Resy.com to make reservations for many of the restaurants.
